Rio Celeste to Rio Perdido
I have found a new favourite breakfast - huge mound of fresh pineapple with pancakes, maple syrup and yoghurt - yum.

It was a 1 1/2 hour drive to the next hotel at Rio Perdido Lodge and a huge change in climate and temperature from 21c in the damp rainforest to 33c in a hot rolling landscape of cattle farms.
We are close to the Miravalles volcano and there is a thermal spring river running through the property - the water is so warm.
Oops, another hanging bridge...
This afternoon’s activity was swimming in a large, hot, open air bath
I needed to walk that off so left Rusty with the last 80 pages of his Jack Reacher and plodded off into the steamy jungle. It was was magical being on my own in the middle of the rainforest but after yesterday’s snake sighting, I had a good look at branches before I touched them!
I also decided a solo swim would be a bit silly..
